Festa della Liberazione nel Regno Unito

23 aprile 2023 dalle ore 10 alle ore 18, presso il Lawrence Street Workshops sito in 1A Lawrence Street, Belfast BT7 1LE
Dalle ore 10 lo spazio sara' aperto per i banchetti delle associazioni che partecipano all'iniziativa, cui seguira' un pranzo dell Liberazione. Dalle 13 si susseguiranno gli interventi iistituzionali ed una prolusione di Massimiliano Nastri PhD, ricercatore e docente presso la Queen's University. La serata si concludera' con musica e balli

25 aprile 2023 a partire dalle 16 presso il Dean Cemetery, 63 Dean Path, Edinburgh EH4 3HT
Cerimonia presso la tomba dell'ufficiale britannico Archibald Donald Mackenzie che combatté nella Resistenza nel Piacentino tra il 1943, anno in cui fuggí dalla prigioni, ed il 1944. Perí durante la battaglia del Ponte dell'Olio il 6 ottobre 1944.
I partecipanti si troveranno successivamente in un pub locale per festeggiare la Liberazione.

25 aprile 2023, a partire dalle ore 18:30 presso The Bread and Roses Pub, 68 Clapham Manor St, London SW4 6DZ
L'iniziativa si aprira' con i saluti dell'ANPI a nome del comitato organizzatore e con gli interventi del Console Generale Dott. Domenico Bellantone e del Presidente del Comites di Londra Dott. Alessandro Gaglione.
Seguira' un dialogo tra la scrittrice Caroline Moorehead, autrice di una trilogia sulla Resistenza, e lo storico Alfio Bernabei sul ruolo delle donne nella Resistenza al nazifascismo. Lo spunto sara' il libro "La casa in montagna: Storia di quattro partigiane" pubblicato in Italia da Bollati e Boringhieri.
La serata continuera' con un buffet e con intrattenimento musicale.

Here is a list of the events organised by ANPI London and other partners to celebrate the Liberation of Italy from Mussolini's fascist dictatorship and from nazi occupation in April 1945.
In chronological order.

23rd April, starting from 10am. Belfast
Lawrence Street Workshops, 1A Lawrence St, Belfast BT7 1LE Informal Committee "25 April"  and ANPI London invite you to celebrate together the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy from Nazi-Fascism.
The day of celebration is open to all and aims to be a moment of encounter and discussion to share the values that guided the partisan Resistance, values that still guide the political and personal journey of many of us.
Throughout the day you will find music, food and moments of storytelling and discussion on the relationship between the Italian Resistance and Ireland, with historical interventions and a documentaries corner, for anyone who wants to learn more. And if weather permits, there will also be pizza straight from the oven.
In short: come and visit us, bring your stories, bring what you want to find. We will be there to testify that the Resistance to fascism, racism and ignorance continues and will always continue.
Talks will start at 2pm and will feature ANPI London, Massimiliano Nastri  PhD, researcher at Queen's University in Belfast, historian Alessandro Portelli, Professor of English and American Literature at Università La Sapienza in Rome.

25th April, 4pm Edinburgh
Dean Cemetery, 63 Dean Path, Edinburgh EH4 3AT Attendees will lay flowers to the grave of Archibald Donald Mackenzie, who contributed to the Resistance against Mussolini's regime and their nazi allies in Italy.
A small bash at a local pub will follow afterwards at the The Bread and Roses Pub - 68 Clapham Manor Street, London SW4 6DZ.  It will be an opportunity to learn about each other more.
